Another vintage tractor was bought and has arrived on the farm today – a 1969 Nuffield 10/60.
This tractor was bought in Donegal and brought to the yard by a friend using his tractor and low loader.
The brakes were seized on the tractor, but thanks to the easy access, we were able to remove the disc brakes without having to remove the hubs – the brake assembly is situated just under the seat.
The tractor’s engine was not running, but it was turning, so the first job is to strip all the body panels and get a good look at the engine. When it is up and running and the is mechanically good, the body panels can be worked on.
I’m sure there will be many more updates and pictures to come before it is finished.
