This week we had snow on Thursday 17th and Friday 18th with temperatures dipping to around -3 degrees. On Friday night warmer temperatures along with some rain cleared most of the surrounding areas of snow, so on Saturday it appeared as though it had never snowed at all.
The couple of days we had snow it reminded me of the added inconvenience cold weather and snow-covered slippery yards brings. A tractor on a neighbour’s farm wouldn’t start and couldn’t be jump-started because of the lack of traction.
I checked the swede field to see if there were any signs of the spray working, although it had only been 1 week and with the recent cold weather I doubted there would be any change. When I got there, it looked exactly the same as on the day I sprayed it.
